Flange should be checked on schedule

Flange connection refers to the two pipes, pipe fittings or equipment, which are respectively fixed on a flange, and between the two flanges, padded, bolted together to complete the connection. Some pipe fittings and equipment have their own flanges and are also flanged. The flanges are divided into threaded flanges and welded flanges. They are disc-shaped parts that are common in plumbing and flanges are used in pairs. In the course of pipeline engineering, the flange is mainly used for the connection of pipes. In the pipelines that need to be connected, a variety of flanges are installed. The low-pressure pipelines can use wire-bonded flanges, and the welding flanges are used at pressures above 4 kg. Low-pressure small-diameter wire-bonded flanges, high-pressure and low-pressure large diameters are all welded flanges. The thickness of the flanges of different pressures and the diameter and number of connecting bolts are different. The flanges are free from corrosion, pitting, rust or wear and are one of the strongest materials in construction metal materials. Because stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, it enables structural components to maintain engineering integrity.


Flanges can not be stored for a long time, and should be inspected on schedule. The exposed surface should be kept clean, dirty, and stored neatly in a place where the air is dry and dry. It is strictly prohibited to be stacked or stored in the open air. When the flange ball valve, globe valve or gate valve is used, it is only fully open or fully closed, and it is not allowed to adjust the flow to avoid erosion of the sealing surface and accelerate wear. Flange is easy to manufacture, simple to manufacture, low in cost and widely used; but it is less rigid, so it should not be used in chemical process piping systems with high and extreme hazard requirements for supply, demand, flammability, explosiveness and high vacuum. The sealing surface type has a flat surface and a convex surface. The flange structure is simple, small in size and light in weight; it is compact and reliable. At present, the sealing surface material of the ball valve is widely used in plastic and has good sealing performance. It is also widely used in the vacuum system; the maintenance is convenient, the ball valve structure is simple, and the sealing ring is generally active. It is convenient to disassemble and change; when fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface of the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium.
