The nozzle and riser of ingot for flange forgings should be cut out enough to ensure no shrinkage and serious segregation of forgings. The forging and rolling of flange forgings shall be based on the material and ingot form to determine the corresponding heating specifications.
The forging blanks of flange forgings shall be forged by upsetting process and the forging ratio shall not be less than 1.6:1. Flange forgings shall be formed by seamless rolling, and the total forging ratio shall not be less than 4:1.
The quality grade of flange forgings conforms to at least the Ⅱ grade of nb/t 47008-2010.
The heat treatment of flange forgings should be normalizing and tempering to ensure the mechanical properties of the product. The repair of product defects cannot be repaired by welding in the process of product manufacturing.
Metallographic Test requirements
Grain size requirements: Each batch of flange forgings should take a metallographic test, in the normal Lanche, radial, Z-direction to extract x100 or x400 microscopic photographs; the grain size of flange forgings is n≥6, grain shape and size should be uniform, according to GB/T 6394 method. Ribbon Organization requirements: Flange forgings banded Organization is not greater than 2, according to GB/T 13299 of the provisions of the decision. Non-metallic inclusions requirements for forgings: Each batch of flange forgings shall be assessed with a non-metallic inclusion content, and the method should be evaluated according to GB/T 10561.
Mechanical performance requirements
Each batch of flange forgings should take a mechanical performance test.
Ultrasonic Testing level requirements: flange forgings Ultrasonic testing to reach the/4730.3-2005 Ⅰ or en 10228-3:1998 of the Grade 3.
Magnetic Particle testing Level requirements
The magnetic particle testing of flange forgings shall reach the Ⅰ level of/4730.4-2005.
