What Are The Forging Methods Of Forging Mills?

- Oct 10, 2017-

Forging plant according to the forging temperature, can be divided into hot forging, forging and cold forging.

Forging factory According to the forming mechanism, forging can be divided into forging, forging, roller ring, special forging.

1, the forging. Refers to the use of simple common tools in forging plant, or in the forging equipment of the upper and lower anvil between the direct external force to the billet, so that the billet deformation to obtain the required geometry and internal quality of the forging processing method. Forgings produced by the method of forging are called the forging parts. The forging of forgings is mainly based on the production of small quantities of forgings, forging equipment, such as hammers and hydraulic presses, to obtain qualified forgings. The basic working procedure of the forging die includes upsetting, drawing, punching, cutting, bending, torsion, dislocation and forging. Forging factory forgings are all hot forging methods.

2. Die forging. Die forging is divided into open die forging and closed die forging. Metal billet in a certain shape of the forging die in the pressure deformation to obtain forgings, die-forging is generally used in the production of small weight, large-volume parts. Die forging can be divided into die, forging and cold forging. Forging and cold forging are the future development direction of die forging in forging factory, and also represents the level of forging technology.

3. Roller ring. Roller ring refers to the production of circular parts of different diameters through special equipment, and also used to produce wheel parts such as automobile wheels and train wheels.

4. Special forging. Special forging including roll forging, cross wedge rolling, radial forging, liquid die forging, and other forging methods, these methods are more suitable for the production of some special shape parts. For example, roll forging can be used as an effective preform process to significantly reduce the subsequent forming pressure; cross wedge rolling can produce steel balls, transmission shafts and other parts; radial forging can produce large barrel, step shaft and other forgings.
