Austenitic stainless steel forgings in the heating process without the same change in the grain, heating temperature too high grains grew violently; In addition, the alpha phase of duplex stainless steel increased. When the heating temperature exceeds 1200 ℃, the quantity increases quickly. Therefore, the initial forging temperature of austenitic stainless steel forgings should not exceed 1200 ℃.
The final forging temperature of austenitic stainless steel forgings should be higher than that of sensitized temperature. This kind of steel grade end forging temperature is lower, the deformation resistance is big, in 700-900 ℃ interval slow cold will precipitate the σ phase, forging is easy to crack, the final forging temperature generally takes 900 ℃.
Austenitic stainless steel forgings in case of carburizing, it will cause the formation of chromium carbide, so that the austenite grain boundary poor chromium and reduce its intergranular corrosion resistance; therefore, this type of steel heating to avoid contact with carbon, can not use reductive atmosphere, after the forging should be rapid through the temperature, so as to prevent the precipitation of carbide dissolved in the austenite, should be treated with solid solution.
