Forging Process Drawing And Forging Die Design Characteristics

1. Forging processing drawing design characteristic

The forging drawing design on the hydraulic press should be based on the size and requirement of the part drawing, and consider the technical characteristics of the die forging on the hydraulic press, as far as possible to reduce the auxiliary steps.

(1) Shine and tolerance hydraulic press die forging, height direction of the allowance and tolerance should be larger. Because the hydraulic press die forging, the metal flow inertia is very small or almost zero, the depth of the groove is not easy to fill.

(2) Fillet radius Hydraulic press die forging when the metal flow almost no inertia, so the fillet radius should be larger, conducive to metal flow, filled with the depth of the groove.

(3) The die forging slope is provided with a ejector on the hydraulic press, the die forging slope can be reduced, the general take 3°?7°, some even can not set the slope.

2. Design of billet Process plan

Hydraulic press die forging when the metal filling performance is poor, general should be made of precast billet, but the hydraulic machine moving beam movement speed slow, not suitable for the process of making billet, at the same time, in order to avoid large hydraulic presses eccentric load, generally use single groove die forging. For the shape of complex forgings and precision forgings to use a number of sets of molds, so that the flow of metal smooth, uniform deformation, fiber continuous, and to ensure that the deep groove filling. For shaft forgings and complex forgings, can be used for the forging of the billet, or the use of special-purpose production molding billet, or joint use, the specific choice is as follows.

(1) The selection of the working steps of the shaft forgings

The more uniform cross section forgings can be formed by direct end forging of bar material. For flat long forgings with uneven cross-section and large variation, the following forging schemes are selected:

Forgings-final forging;

Special-purpose Mould making billet-final forging;

Pre-forged one end forging;

Die Forging--pre-forged-end-forgings.

(2) selection of the working steps of the complex forgings making billet-final forging;

Die Forging--special-purpose mould making billet-end forge;

Forgings-Pre-forging-end forging;

Die Forging--special-purpose billet mould making--pre-forging-end-forge.

3. Forging die Design characteristics

Hydraulic press die forging die for a combination of many. Hydraulic press die forging also separate die forging and closed-die forging two kinds. The design process of the open die forging die is similar to that of the hammer forging die, and the design of the closed die forging die is similar to the design of the forging die of the spiral press. The most characteristic of forging die for hydraulic press is that it can be designed into a closed-type combined mould, so as to forge the complex shape forgings with inner cavities and the precision forgings with no die forging inclination.

Forging die on the hydraulic press, the forging die of the upper die should be higher than the lower die to prevent the forging card from being out of the upper model groove. Because the hydraulic press is static load, the pressure is adjustable, overload when there is overflow valve protection, mold face requirements are not as strict as the hammer die Forging, only required module strength enough.
