Before the forging production of butt-welded flanges is started, the operator should make pre-forging preparations according to the process documents, and then put into production after confirming that it is normal.
①Familiar with the process documents, and check the operation status of the equipment according to the equipment operating regulations and safety regulations.
②According to the material, shape, size and process requirements of the butt welding flange, select the corresponding forging equipment. The characteristics of the equipment must meet the process requirements.
③Choose appropriate heating equipment, formulate reasonable heating specifications, strictly control heating temperature, heating speed and holding time to ensure that the blank is heated through and prevent heating defects such as overheating and overburning.
④ Install and adjust the forging die or related tools, select the appropriate general-purpose tools, and check the labor and die used in production. If abnormal forging dies, equipment or defective forgings are found, effective measures shall be taken to eliminate them.
⑤ Forging dies and various forging tools must be preheated before forging to ensure the quality of forgings and the life of the forging dies.
⑥Select the appropriate protective lubricant according to the material, precision and process requirements of the butt welding flange.
⑦The blank must be cleaned of oil before and during the forging process.
⑧All butt welding flanges must be tested by mold trial and marking. Only when they meet the requirements of the butt welding flange drawing can they be trial-produced or officially put into production.
⑨The alloy grades, batch numbers, specifications and quantities of the rough and accompanying cards must be consistent. When the mold and accompanying card or process card and mold and butt welding flange diagram are completely consistent, it can be put into production.
