Design Feature:
Live loaded gland flange
Live loading is designed to provide gland load retention, compensating for expected in-service consolidation of packing. A set of belle villa spring washers are used on each gland bolt to help apply a constant force on the gland follower flange to reduce fugitive emissions from forged steel 2 piece threaded ball valve stem packing. ARITA standard belle villa-spring washers are protected by a weatherproof cap to keep them free from environmental contamination, resulting in a long stable life.
