The 3-PC vertical spring swing check valve opens or closes the valve against the spring resistance due to the pressure of the medium at the inlet end of the line. When the inlet end medium pressure is lower than the outlet end, the spring pushes the valve core toward the valve seat to close the valve, preventing the medium from flowing backward, so as to stop the action.
